Research paper on the elucidating the evolutionary patterns of Omicron subvariants of G2P-Japan, co-authored by HiLung members, was published in the journal “Nature Communications” on 11 May.

The G2P-Japan has elucidated the evolutionary patterns behind the emergence of highly adaptive Omicron subvariants, especially BQ.1.1 variant.

Our iPS cell-derived lung cells were useful for evaluating the infectivity and proliferative potential of this Omicron subvariants.
