HiLung to Present Research on a Human iPSC-Derived Distal Lung Model for Fibrosis Drug Discovery at ERS Congress 2026
HiLung Inc. is pleased to announce that Toshio Suzuki, M.D., Ph.D., Director / Head of Translational Science, will present the company’s latest research at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress 2026, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from September 5–9, 2026.
The presentation will highlight HiLung’s latest efforts to recapitulate the bronchiolar–alveolar interface, a region characteristic of the human lung and not present in rodents, using human iPSC-derived cells, together with an example of how this platform can be applied to drug discovery.
Through the development of human-relevant respiratory research platforms based on iPSC-derived cells, HiLung aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of severe respiratory diseases and to accelerate the discovery and development of new therapeutics.
